Job Description:

Refrigeration ManagerResponsibilities:Ensure uninterrupted operation of a 20,000-pound ammonia system vital for manufacturing processes.Oversee maintenance for Refrigeration, Boiler, and Steam systems, ensuring compliance.Develop a prioritized master plan for system projects and tackle them effectively.Design redesign plans for required areas and propose upgrades, repairs, and purchases.Lead Process Safety Management initiatives and educate site partners.Manage ammonia system parts inventory and steward the engine room.Perform repairs on the ammonia system, adhering to best practices and standards.Mentor team members as the system and staff expand.Collaborate with Maintenance Team and Engineering on various projects and repairs.Assume Refrigeration Manager duties in their absence, supported by Maintenance Manager and Director of Engineering.Skills Required:Associate s degree and/or certification in industrial refrigeration operation, design, or repair.Process Safety Management certification preferred.Strong grasp of refrigeration best practices and general mechanical aptitude.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and effective problem-solving abilities.Sound judgment, decision-making, and adaptability in changing circumstances.Multi-tasking, planning, and organization skills to meet project objectives.Experience in food manufacturing preferred.Equipment Expertise:Frick Screw and Liquid Nitrogen Compressors.Nitrogen Freeze Tunnel IQF and Evapco Evaporative Condensers.Manning/Honeywell Ammonia Detection/Alarm Systems and Liquid Level Controllers.Hansen Auto-Purgers, Cornell/Buffalo/Hansen/Blackmer Liquid Pumps.Hansen/R/S/Phillips/Danfoss Valves, Black Iron Seamless, Stainless Steel Piping.Various Ammonia Systems (Single Stage, Two-Stage) and Defrost Systems.Kaeser Air Compressors, York Shipley Boiler, Allen-Bradley PLCs.Square D Switchgear, Fire Eye Boiler Controls, AC/DC Voltage Systems.This role offers a challenging opportunity to lead and maintain critical industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring manufacturing operations run smoothly.
