Job DescriptionCertasun is seeking applicants for--Solar Associate--to join our Solar Sales Executive Development Program.--In this unique program, you will start as a Solar Sales Associate and gain exposure to all aspects of the sales process as well as receive extensive training on both sales generally and solar specifically.--You will be on the front lines of bringing solar to Illinois homeowners and educating them about the benefits, economic and environmental, of going solar. This particular hire will also work closely with our Marketing Manager on marketing initiatives.Certasun is seeking candidates in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago. In particular, applications from candidates living in or north of Buffalo Grove would be favorably received (for example, in Round Lake, Grayslake, Antioch, Volo, Vernon Hills, Wauconda, Lake Villa, Waukegan, Zion, etc.).Outstanding Solar Sales Associates can expect to graduate from the program in approximately six months, when they will have the opportunity to become Solar Sales Consultants, our outside sales role with annual target earnings of $100,000.--ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and qualify inbound leads for solar suitabilityRepresent Certasun at events (home shows, farmers markets, green fairs, etc.)Make and answer phone calls to and from interested leadsComplete training on sales and solarWork on various marketing initiativesDesired QualificationsOutstanding written and verbal communications skillsAbility to explain complex topics simply and persuasivelyComfort with quantitative topicsAbility to travel throughout the Chicago area; valid driver's licenseAuthorized to work in the United States for any employerNo previous solar or sales experience requiredPay & Benefits$40k base salary; $10-20k in annualized incentive compensationHealth care, 401(k), and paid vacationTo ApplyPlease send cover letter and resume to hr@certasun.com with subject "SSED Program"
