Job Description:
At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better
housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make
homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable
across the nation.
Employees, contingent workers and visitors are no longer required

Freddie Mac's hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office
(specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
Position Overview: Are you looking for a fast-paced, influential
position handling a broad range of employee relations matters, such
as counseling HR professionals, executives, and managers, leading
sensitive internal data gathering efforts, and developing employee
and manager training? We are searching for an experienced and
talented employee relations professional to join this highly
collaborative employee relations team, housed in Freddie Mac's
Human Resources Division.
Our Impact: The Employee Relations Team works closely with multiple
risk management and mitigation functions across the organization
and is responsible for managing a broad range of employee relations
matters, including the resolution of employment disputes and
complaints to ensure fairness, consistency, and legal
compliance.
Your Impact: In this role, you will be expected to:
Work with employee relations and human resource colleagues and
people managers on a broad range of employee relations issues,
including hiring, compensation, promotion, performance management,
disability and religious accommodations, leave, corrective action,
reductions-in-force, terminations, severance pay, and employee
relations policies.
Use your employee relations knowledge, good judgment and common
sense to develop creative, effective solutions to often complex
employee relations problems, issues and challenges.
Manage employee relations workstreams on a day-to-day basis.
Address, and escalate as necessary, employee complaints of
violations of Freddie Mac policy. Activities will include gathering
and reviewing relevant documents, analyzing and synthesizing the
information gathered to determine the facts, preparing a concise
summary, making recommendations to other employee relations team
members, updating the case tracking system and assisting with
reporting and analytics.
Assist with the development of interactive, scenario-based employee
relations training and other briefings and communications for
people managers and other employees.
Proactively identify improvements to employee relations processes
and practices.
Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of relevant Human Resource
experience
Understanding of federal, state & local employment laws
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience advising, coaching, and making recommendations to
employees and management on a broad range of HR related matters
Demonstrated ability to influence
Keys to Success in this Role: Must be a team player and able to

Excellent analytical skills for efficient problem diagnosis and
resolution (creative thinking / problem solving)
Strong accountability, both individually to your work as well as to
the team
Ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner
Proactive identification of employee relations issues and risks
Ability to work independently, have excellent judgement, and a high
degree of emotional intelligence
Inquisitive nature, eager to learn new concepts and
technologies
