Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares and presents high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customers orders and prepare the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 6 months healthcare or restaurant facility. Licensure/Certification: Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Anyone hired into the Cook position at Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL) prior to 9/1/2020is to be considered grandfathered and exempt from this requirement. FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification Other skills/knowledge: Know basic math skills and follow instructions. Must be willing and capable of working in a fast paced environment. Must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Education: Culinary Degree Experience: 2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
