Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time EMR Support
Specialist for our Bloomington, IL location.

Attain intermediate or greater knowledge of Chestnut EMR(s), as
assigned, and provide primary support and administration of those
systems. Perform related duties, including: Create and terminate
EMR user accounts. Define and set EMR security roles and
permissions. Assign same to appropriate staff. May also administer
or coordinate account and permission management for external
Perform and/or check status of administrative tasks, as
Coordinate regular maintenance tasks such as software patching.
Develop and document procedures needed to effectively maintain
EMR(s) as a useful decision support tool. Assist with maintaining
procedures, troubleshooting tips, end user documentation, and
Work with other Chestnut staff to integrate with or to interface
between EMR(s) and other data systems.
Monitor the help desk system and quickly respond to EMR support
requests and coordinate between Chestnut staff and EMR support
resources. Troubleshoot and correct data systems errors, getting
help from other Data Team members or QM/clinical staff and provide
expertise to others as needed.
Coordinate closely with clinical management and the Data Systems
Manager to provide end-user and “train-the-trainer” training for
assigned EMR(s) and/or data systems.
Assist with development of systems improvements and seek ways to
integrate these systems as appropriate, as assigned by the Data
Attain proficiencies in core technical competencies for the
position, as defined in Data Team procedure manuals and as assigned
by the Data Systems Manager.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with relevant
internal and external customers and collaborators, while providing
timely, effective support for such individuals and

responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and
Position requires an Associate’s degree in health care (i.e.,
Health Information Management; Health Care Administration; Health
Sciences or related field) or in a related IS field, with one year
general applicable experience supporting electronic medical records
(EMR) systems; or a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent
combination of education, training and experience in EMR support,
database administration, or report writing.
Experience with eClinicalWorks support preferred.
Solid problem solving skills and flexibility to overcome obstacles
Excellent organizational skills are required.
Good written and verbal communication skills are also required.
