Overview

Chestnut Family Health Center, a division of Chestnut Health Systems, is seeking a full-time Quality and Compliance Coordinator to be located at either our Bloomington, IL or Granite City, IL location.

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor and document a comprehensive system of quality and risk management in coordination with Chestnut Family Health Center (CFHC) administrative, clinical and medical staff and under the direction of the Quality and Performance Improvement Manager.
Monitor, interpret and advise leadership regarding standards and requirements of relevant licensure, accreditation, regulatory and oversight entities for ongoing compliance. These include but are not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Center for Medicaid Services (CMS).
Assist in coordination of CFHC activities for all licensure, accreditation, regulatory and oversight entity site visits. Participate in site visits. These include but are not limited to TJC and HRSA.
Monitor and interpret HRSA’s Uniform Data Set (UDS) reporting requirements. Continuously monitor and report regarding Chestnut’s data towards UDS measures. Coordinate the preparation and ensure timely and successful annual submission of UDS reports.
Attain advanced knowledge of CFHC’s electronic medical record related to workflows and end user proficiency. Develop and provide role specific education and training to staff regarding documentation into the EMR. Run and disseminate critical reports.
Work collaboratively with key staff: CFHC managers and leaders regarding strategies in support of safety, quality, compliance and risk management functions. MIS/Data team to develop, prepare and implement data collection, processing and reporting activities in support of operations and regulatory compliance.
In coordination with CFHC Medical Director(s), provide oversight of a peer review process consistent with HRSA requirements Monitor Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) compliance and reporting requirements. Coordinate the preparation and ensure timely and successful annual submission of deeming and renewal applications.
Coordinate with the Safety Coordinator regarding CFHC specific compliance with Safety, Infection/Exposure Control and Emergency Preparedness processes.
Hire, train and supervise clerks and interns, as assigned.
Act as an administrator for Relias Learning Management System.
Incorporate Chestnut’s treatment philosophies while performing duties and responsibilities.
Work within the QM team to support each other and the functions of the department.
Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, health information management, health care administration, health services, public administration or related field with one (1) year of professional experience in a healthcare or similar setting required; or a high school diploma or GED with three (3) years professional experience in a healthcare or similar setting.
One (1) year general applicable experience supporting electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word required.
Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
