Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ArchitectLocation: Remote, based in the United StatesEstimated Duration: 3 month W2 contract with potential for extensionsThe successful candidate will be key member of the team designing the foundational access and management solutions to bring Virtustream's mission critical managed services to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This person will have a strong background in cloud services delivery, with specific architecture and implementation focus on the Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with managed service delivery in a hyper scaler environment, and automation of that delivery.Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:* Requirements review and feedback with Product Management* Create solution architecture, design documentation and diagrams* Collaborate within, and across teams to create the "right" solution* Leverage GCP APIs to automate common and repeatable delivery tasks* Mentor team members on utilizing the GCP platform and APIs efficiently* Partner with our internal managed services business unit to clearly understand their needs, and guide them in moving to GCP deliveryMust have Skills:* 5+ years working with hyper scale cloud provider platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)* 5+ years of experience in more than one programming language, e.g. Python (multiple is better as they can adapt to new)* 2+ years of experience with setup and delivery of GCP IAM solutions* Strong competency in Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems* Strong understanding of general networking concepts, in particular GCP VPC, routing, network security servicesPreferred Skills:* 6+ months of experience with GCP API development, beyond the portal UI* 6+ months of experience with GCP IAM model and management* 2+ years demonstrated experience in managed service provider delivery on hyper scaler cloud platforms* 1+ years of experience with GCP native monitoring and analysis* Experience setting up a new managed service provider offering on GCP, implementing multi-tenant segmentation* Experience with deploying GCP solutions using Terraform or other automated delivery tools Attributes* Ability to teach and or train others on infrastructure technology* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment* Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally* Ability to think critically in evaluating problems and proposed solutions Specific to new project of bringing Virtustream's managed services to GCP.
