Sysco, a global leader in the distribution of food products to a diverse range of sectors, is looking for an experienced Linehaul Coordinator to enhance our logistics framework, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of goods across various locations. This role plays a critical part in our commitment to operational excellence, driving the process of route planning and coordination of long-distance freight movements. The ideal candidate will contribute to our high standards of delivery efficiency, optimizing routes to meet customer requirements and compliance with safety regulations. Plan and coordinate the effective movement of freight across the transportation network. Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless delivery schedules. Optimize routes to improve cost-efficiency and delivery times. Monitor and report on transportation costs, delivery timelines, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with national and international transportation regulations. Address and resolve any issues that arise during transportation quickly and effectively. Work closely with drivers and other transportation staff to ensure a high standard of safety and efficiency. Strong knowledge of logistics and route management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions in real-time. Strong computer and data analysis skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
