Position Summary The Distribution Supervisor implements and oversees the day-to-day functions of the warehouse. This includes the recruiting, training, and supervising of warehouse staff. This individual is responsible for maintaining inventory and working with eShipping departments to coordinate deliveries in and out of the warehouse space. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: • Act as immediate supervisor of warehouse staff • Coordinate scheduling of warehouse employees • Provide training and certification of forklift driving for employees • Confirm product is labeled appropriately • Coordinate inbound and outbound loads • Enforce safety regulations, ensure employees comply with and use personal protection equipment • Administer compliance of food grade warehousing standards • Inventory Control • Cycle counting • Manage Overage, Shortage and Damaged Product procedures • Ensure associates maintain equipment and cleanliness of warehouse • Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. • Able to stand for extended periods of time • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move pieces using a pallet jack and dolly • Possess excellent customer service, time management, and prioritization skills • Must have strong communication skills • Must be able to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures Special Requirements • This position is subject to preliminary and random drug testing Minimum Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Industry experience required Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
