As a mainframe NetView, Tivoli, and System Automation consultant, you will help our client upgrade their z/OS operating system and move LPARs to new environments. This involves expertise in managing and optimizing mainframe systems and related software components. Here's an overview of your responsibilities:

• Mainframe Systems Management: You would be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of mainframe systems. This includes ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of mainframe infrastructure.
  • NetView Administration: Your role involves configuring and administering NetView to monitor network and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and automate tasks. -
    • Tivoli Management: Tivoli, encompasses a range of software solutions for systems management, security, and data protection. As a consultant, you would work with Tivoli products such as Tivoli Monitoring, Tivoli Storage Manager, and Tivoli Workload Scheduler to manage and optimize mainframe operations. -
      • Consulting and Advising: You would provide consulting services to clients on best practices for mainframe systems management, NetView, Tivoli, and system automation. This may involve assessing their current infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. -
        • Documentation: You may provide guidance to internal teams or clients on how to effectively use and manage NetView, Tivoli, and system automation tools. -
          • Troubleshooting and Support: You would be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to mainframe systems, NetView, Tivoli, and automation processes. This requires a deep understanding of mainframe architecture, networking, and software integration. -
            • Stay Current with Technology: Given the rapid evolution of mainframe technology and related software, you would need to stay updated with the latest advancements, trends, and best practices in mainframe systems management, NetView, Tivoli, and automation tools.
              Overall, as a consultant specializing in mainframe NetView, Tivoli, and System Automation, your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of mainframe environments for our clients.
              Required skills and level of experience: - -
              • Green Card holder or US citizen
              • 7+ years of -Netview/SA/Tivoli experience
              • 7+ years preferred experience with IBM Mainframes and z/OS
              • Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure, hardware
              • Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
