GROWMARK, Inc. is looking for an exceptional individual to join our Training & Development team as the Leadership Training Manager Who you Are: You have a passion towards team leadership training and coaching, as well as dedication to the contribution of overall strategic goals for the department. You will determine the leadership needs of your audience, work with instructional designer to help develop content for programs (A significant amount of content has already been developed), design hands-on programs to meet those needs, and deliver internal training courses for experienced leaders inside the System (primarily Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin). Your role will significantly impact the success of the System as we continue to grow and develop our leaders. Ultimately, you will design, facilitate and monitor an engaging and awesome Experienced Leader program. What you'll Do: Deliver leadership training in a classroom setting Be seen as an outstanding facilitator utilizing best practices in regards to classroom facilitation Keep up to date on industry best practices Design and develop curriculum to fit the leadership needs of the Experienced Leader group Take creative ownership and be able to understand and work with the employee base to design and deliver appropriate content Create a community of practice, helping grow internal knowledge and create a self-organizing learning culture around leadership best practices Conduct 1:1 and team coaching sessions Facilitate knowledge development and re-use across the System Collaborate with others from across the company to define, present, and/or promote enterprise-wide leadership training initiatives Remove barriers to learning Assist with other leadership/employee development programs when needed Foster and build our learning and teaching culture Be an awesome team member PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Leads the GROWMARK System Leadership Development efforts in the identification, creation, and delivery of all Leadership training programs in the System. Provides strategic direction and operational leadership for all leadership development initiatives of GROWMARK Inc. and the GROWMARK System. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Coordinates, develops, implements and manages GROWMARK System training programs for Experienced Leaders program. Assists overall Division Leadership Development communications and System Leadership Development record keeping services. Works with training team to help in the development, design, implementation and administration of training/development programs for the GROWMARK System including, but not limited to, Senior Manager programs, Cooperative Leadership Conference, Supervisory Development, coaching programs etc. Provides consultation to all leadership development processes, such as succession management, talent assessment, talent pool management, training and development, talent retention, career management, competency management, performance management. Manage performance and talent planning processes to efficiently and effectively integrate talent management as a business process led by business leaders and supported by HR. Provides System management teams support and expert guidance on development initiatives that align and support company succession and long term planning strategies. May work with Manager, Leadership, Training and Development in terms of Coaching and leading training programs and as well as assist staff with program facilitation and administration. Conducts training leadership needs assessments and program evaluations and determines the effectiveness of programs and opportunities for future enhancements. Serves as key resource for information on outside leadership training programs and provides recommendation on appropriate use of resources and vendors for the GROWMARK System. Negotiates contracts with outside vendors, as needed, ensuring programs meet company standards, culture, and budgetary allowances. Responsible for developing and monitoring the departmental budget and spending as it relates to Leadership Development. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Normally requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business, or Education, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of business/financial leadership development experience. Prefer prior leadership experience with proven business leadership skills. Coaching, Six Sigma or PMI certifications are a plus but not mandatory. Experience in planning, researching, developing, presenting, assessing training activities and programs, instructional design including training focus, needs analysis, content development, and technological proficiency. Experience developing others in learning theories and training skills, managing change, cultural awareness, budgeting, financial statements, innovation, marketing, managing external vendor relationships, consulting, and business development Proven professional communications, presentation, persuasion, and facilitation skills. Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback to team and management including executives. Proven supervisory and team building skills including staffing, coaching, performance evaluation, etc. and the ability to achieve results through others. Must have and maintain a valid Passport. Must have the ability to travel independently, frequently, and overnight when necessary. Frequently required to work extended hours and travel as needed. Occasionally required to work at varying heights. Frequently required to lift and move 21-50 lbs. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
