Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing
Assistant or Medical Assistant for our Bloomington, IL

Provide support services for medical staff as appropriate. This may
include, but is not limited to: answering phones, pulling charts,
filing charts or preparing communication materials, and completing
Perform support functions as needed. This may include, but is not
limited to: scheduling patients, greeting patients, escorting
patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in
completing appropriate paperwork, organizing med plus clinic
Assist in transportation of patients to clinic appointments,
hospital, and other special meetings/activities/appointments, if
Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and
Administer and evaluate medical tests as required.
Provide health teaching for patients and their families as
Take and document vital signs.
Collect non-blood specimens and perform point of care testing.
Prepare and assist with medical examinations.
Participate in mandatory staff meetings, QI meetings, etc., as
Participate in staff development/in-service programs.
Assist with inventory management and stocking of exam rooms.
Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through
the adherence to Chestnut's behavioral standards for customer
Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all
organizational information gained in the course of performing job
responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or
Certified Nursing Assistant training program required.
Must have a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in
writing and to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word,
MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record
(EMR) and the ability to assist in a variety of common office
Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance
and be insurable.
Satisfactory completion of Chestnut's background checking
