with starting and maintaining IVs Description: Position: Med Surg
RN Shift: Nights with an 18:45 start time. This is a 23-bed unit.
First-timers are accepted. Weekend requirements: Will work every
other weekend. On-call requirements: No on-call needed. Clinician
may float within scope to meet facility needs. Open to
accommodating block schedules; connect with management to discuss
schedule requests. Local candidates are accepted with no radius
restrictions. RTO restrictions ideally limit to no more than 5
days. Candidates may be called off for up to 36 hours during a
thirteen week assignment without compensation for the cancelled
hours. Active Illinois license is required for application. Prior
experience in charge nursing is preferred. Cerner charting
experience is preferred. Facility Highlights: Type of facility:

staffed beds: 562 beds Scrub color: Any solid color Charting
system: Cerner Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics Daily
census and number of visits per day: Not specified. Additional unit
information: Patient diagnoses include ischemic and hemorrhagic
stroke, TIA, subdural hematoma, brain mass, seizures, back and neck
surgeries, craniotomies, and neurological disorders. Medications
administered may include levetiracetam, lorazepam, aspirin,
lovenox, heparin, antihypertensives, plavix, atorvastatin, and
eliquis. Special procedures may include electroencephalogram (EEG)
and lumbar puncture. Equipment used: Drips for Heparin; Amiodarone
and Lasix are not titrated. Candidates must complete all compliance
needs in a timely manner. Attendance and behavior issues must be
maintained throughout the contract duration. Floating is required
for all travelers, either within the facility or to nearby
affiliated hospitals. Candidates must work two out of three major
holidays. Experience specific to the position is required.
Background policy will be reviewed prior to submission for
approval. Candidates cannot have been a permanent or PRN employee
for 12 months before applying. Modules may be assigned and must be
completed by the designated deadlines. First day of assignment will
