The RN completes initial assessments upon patient admission and develops appropriate plans of care in accordance with unit standards based on patient and family needs. The RN implements plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. The RN modifies plans of care based upon continuous evaluation. The RN takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents. The RN communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. The RN offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. The RN identifies personal learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solutions.
