Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,308 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active state license required Certifications: Chemotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: - Chemotherapy skills and experience - IV therapy and infusion skills and experience Description: Position/ Specialty: Oncology Shift: 3x12 Days Average Daily Census: 24 Total number of rooms/beds: 24 Years of experience required: Minimum 1 year experience required. First-timers accepted: Yes. Weekend requirement: Will work every other weekend. Will float as needed within the hospital to meet facility needs. Open to discussing requests for block scheduling with the manager. Must have an active state license in hand or be in the application process to apply. Requested time off ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment. Candidates may be called off up to 36 hours during the assignment without being compensated for the canceled hours. Candidates will be billed for any shifts that are canceled beyond the permitted hours. If placed on call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. Required skills and experience in chemotherapy include administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, oral administration of chemotherapy, and recognizing/communicating abnormal lab values. Required IV therapy and infusion skills and experience include accessing ports, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, blood and blood product administration, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, and starting IVs. Interdisciplinary support services may include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Daily patient care will include a mixed general floor with oncology and hospice being the primary specialty. Special procedures related to chemotherapy administration will be performed in this unit.
