Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Springfield,
Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

certification preferred. OCN and ONS/ONCC certifications desired.
Must-Have: Administration of chemotherapy Body fluid handling
post-chemotherapy Continuous infusion of chemotherapy IV push
administration of chemotherapy Management and disposal of cytotoxic
spills Monitoring chemotherapy Oral administration of chemotherapy
Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values Accessing ports
Administration of coagulation factors Antifungals Antivirals
Administration of blood and blood products Care and management of
ports Central line blood draw Central line and implanted line care
PICC line care Starting and maintaining IVs Description: This
position involves working in an Oncology unit with a daily average
census of 24 patients. The facility has 24 rooms and beds
specifically designated for oncology patients. Candidates with at
least 1 year of nursing experience in oncology are encouraged to
apply. First-time applicants may also be accepted. The nurse will
be required to work every other weekend. Clinicians may float
within their scope to meet facility needs. Schedule requests will
be discussed with the manager. Local candidates are accepted
without any distance restrictions. The organization prefers
candidates with prior charge experience, but it is not required.
Experience with the Cerner charting system is preferred. Candidates
will primarily care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit
provides interdisciplinary support, including Physical Therapy and
Social Services. Patient diagnoses will include a mix of oncology
needs and hospice care. Nurses will be responsible for
administering chemotherapy and monitoring patient responses. This
role emphasizes patient and family education and support throughout
treatment. It is important for nurses to recognize and manage side
effects associated with chemotherapy. In this position, you will
collaborate with various healthcare professionals across
departments. You will focus on providing high-quality care to
patients with oncology-related health issues. Candidates should be
