Job Details Location: Peoria, Illinois Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Practice Setting: New Medical Oncology Practice Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 13 weeks (minimum three weeks availability required) Estimated Weekly Salary: $14,690 $15,750 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour day shifts (starting at 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 No weekend coverage required Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support PRN Medical Oncologist on-site one week per month Qualifications MD or DO degree Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology Active and unrestricted medical license (Illinois preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Oncology Strong communication and collaboration skills Dedication to providing consistent, high-quality patient care Job Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care, including oncology consultations, admissions, and follow-up visits Perform hospital rounding as needed Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary cancer care team Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site Apply now to join our healthcare team and make a difference in cancer care in Peoria, Illinois!
