The Clinical Resource Unit is committed to providing exceptional
care through strong relationships with patients, families, and
colleagues. The nursing staff in the unit provides specialized
medical and nursing care to various inpatient units. Medical
diagnoses require expertise in areas such as coronary artery
disease, heart failure, strokes, cancer, and post-surgical care.
The environment is fast-paced, exciting, and always evolving.
Responsibilities include performing required duties specific to the
scope of service. Responsibilities also include maintaining
documentation of nursing care to assure integration of information
for the healthcare team. Initial assessments upon patient admission
and developing appropriate care plans are essential. Plans of care
must be modified based on continuous evaluation of patient needs.
Patient and employee safety must be prioritized, including
reporting hazards and incidents. Effective communication is
necessary for resolving issues. Providing constructive feedback to
peers is encouraged for professional development. Collaboration
with colleagues supports knowledge expansion. Identifying personal
learning needs and taking initiative for solutions is essential.
Responsibilities include floating to various inpatient units and
providing direct nursing care. Nursing diagnoses, plans,
implementations, and evaluations of patient care must be conducted
and documented. Acting as a resource to staff from multiple units

is necessary to provide high-quality patient care. Managing care
for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients is

labs, is essential. Discharging patients with proper instruction
for safe transitions is required. Diligently answering call lights
and ensuring basic patient care are necessary tasks. Conflict
