RN - Pain Clinic at Carle Health summary: The RN - Pain Clinic
Procedural Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care including
patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within
the RN scope of practice. Responsibilities include assisting with
pain management procedures, administering IV therapy, patient
education, and supporting clinical quality improvement initiatives.
The role involves collaboration with healthcare teams,
documentation accuracy, and mentoring of staff and students to
improve patient outcomes. Overview The Procedural Nurse utilizes a
systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment,
planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing.
Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities
within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of
Nursing. Qualifications Certifications: Licensed Registered
Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and
Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Illinois Department of Financial and
Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)American
Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days -
American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA),
Education: H.S. Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Responsibilities
Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and
families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established
standards of care and scope of practice. Performs advanced nursing
activities, which can include assisting with procedures using
conscious sedation, placement of IV's, and monitoring patients in
recovery from sedation. Ensures documentation of care is complete
and accurate. Provides health and wellness education to individuals
and groups. Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other
staff and healthcare students. Provides leadership for initiatives
designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of
departmental standing orders. Assess patients in procedural area,
both pre and post procedure, review medication, allergies, medical
history, and obtain vital signs Initiate IV therapy Triage phone
calls, complete prior authorizations, injection screening, and MRI
screenings Provide education to patients in the office and
post-injection area Order, stock, and maintain supplies for
department Perform urine drug screens Assists Injectionists with
procedures (epidural, nerve block, joint injection, radiofrequency

this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a
good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of
posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a
candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but
not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications,
location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
