This is an excellent opportunity for RNs seeking pediatric nursing jobs in Illinois./n /n/nEstimated Weekly Salary/n /n - Weekly Salary Range: $1,990 - $2,130 per week (estimated)/n /n/nPediatric RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637/n - Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Acute Care Unit (includes Pediatric Hematology/Oncology beds)/n - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)/n - Start Date: December 15, 2025/n - End Date: March 16, 2026/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week/n - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week/n - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday for nights)/n - Charting System: EPIC/n - Scrub Policy: Pediatric-appropriate tops (any color/pattern), solid color pants/n /n/nPediatric RN Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or proof of application in process/n - Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA required)/n - Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric acute care nursing experience preferred/n - Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus policy)/n - Excellent communication and teamwork skills/n /n/nPediatric Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric medical/surgical patients (including hyperbilirubinemia, neurology, diabetes, failure to thrive, cystic fibrosis, COVID, and orthopedic cases)/n - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/n - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge RNs, pediatric crisis RNs, and resident physicians/n - Utilize and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment such as heated high flow and BiPAP (within set parameters)/n - Float as needed within the children's hospital to other pediatric units or to mom/baby for baby assignments (no ICU or chemotherapy unless experienced)/n - Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system/n - Participate in unit-specific orientation (2 shifts, with possible extension if needed)/n /n Apply now to join our pediatric nursing team in Peoria, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel RN career!
