Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have an active
state license Certifications: Chemotherapy certification preferred
Must-Have: - Experience with administration of chemotherapy - IV
therapy and infusion skills - Ability to manage and dispose of
cytotoxic spills - Competence in recognizing and communicating
abnormal lab values Description: Position available in the oncology
specialty. Candidates will work 3x12-hour shifts. Average daily
census is 24. The unit consists of 24 rooms/beds. First-time
travelers are accepted. Candidates are required to work every other
weekend. Open to accommodating block schedules as needed.
Candidates must float within their scope to meet facility needs. No
on-call requirement. Local candidates are accepted with no radius
restrictions. Must have a valid state license in hand or be in the
application process to apply. Preferred qualifications include
charge experience and familiarity with Cerner charting system.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is
typically 24 patients with a focus on oncology and hospice care.
Candidates should have experience in outpatient oncology and
inpatient oncology settings. Candidates will be required to manage
side effects and provide patient/family education and support.
Compliance with facility policies and procedures is essential.
Travelers must complete all compliance requirements in a timely
manner and fulfill the full assignment duration without attendance
issues. Candidates must work two of three major holidays during
their contract. Floating to other areas may be required.
Certifications should be current and relevant to the unit's needs.
Charting is performed using the Cerner system. All interested
