Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Bloomington, Illinois.Job Description & Requirements

  Schedule: 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call requirements, including weekends, after-hours, and holidays

  Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  
  Location: Local candidates accepted (within 50 miles radius)
  
  Position Summary:
  
  Perform cine, digital subtraction angiography, and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile techniques
  Prepare examination areas, position patients, and operate complex radiology equipment
  Provide patient care and ensure radiation safety
  Operate physiologic monitors during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  Primary Job Responsibilities:
  
  Scrub Tech Duties:
  
  Prepare and arrange sterile setup for procedures
  Pass catheters and instruments to the physician
  Maintain cleanliness of exposed surfaces during procedures
  Patient Preparation:
  
  Position patients and apply sterile techniques
  Explain procedures to patients and complete necessary paperwork
  Equipment Operation:
  
  Operate complex radiology equipment (e.g., special X-ray tubes, cine angiographic equipment, digital subtraction devices)
  Adjust controls to obtain quality images and ensure proper technical factors
  Image Management:
  
  Transfer and archive images in the cardiac picture archival system
  Equipment Maintenance:
  
  Perform minor repairs and report malfunctions
  Patient Monitoring:
  
  Observe cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, recognize abnormalities, and alert the physician
  Departmental Duties:
  
  Attend meetings and educational programs
  Maintain positive relationships with staff and agencies
  Complete on-call requirements and support continuous quality improvement efforts
  Basic Qualifications:
  
  Education and Certification:
  
  Completion of two years of post-high school training at an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  Registered with the ARRT
  Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  Minimum of 1 year experience in radiologic special procedures
  Skills and Knowledge:
  
  Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles
