Follow Us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/donaldson/ As the Director of Human Resources for Domestic Operations, you will work in partnership with HR leaders at manufacturing sites as well as key corporate stakeholders to support our multi-state operations. This position will provide leadership and strategic support that will further our company culture. T his role will report to the Vice President of global HR Business Partners . Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide HR leadership and support for HR teams in production union and non-union facilities across the US
  • Understands and can lead labor union negotiation discussions and drive closure and positive resolution to collective bargaining matters
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset that understands the organization's goals and strategies and can effectively translate this direction into strategic and operational people practices.
  • Provides direction in areas including: employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, employee communications, training/benefits and policy interpretation
  • Partner with Operations leadership, other HR Directors, and plant HR teams to initiate employee development programs and provide individual development and career counseling, training and development programs, conflict resolution, team skills, and leadership skills
  • Apply solid critical thinking capability to achieve desired outcomes on matters relating to people, compensation, development, policy execution and consistency of common HR practices across multiple sites
  • Provide insight, leadership and support for short-term and long-term workforce planning using data-driven analysis for exempt and non-exempt staff
  • Establishes team goals that support our ability to bring in or develop great talent, foster an environment of belonging, and reduce turnover.
  • Hire strong HR talent within U.S. production facilities
  • Partner and work collaboratively with HR Centers of Expertise and global HR leaders to identify and implement solid HR solutions spanning all HR disciplines
  • Promote and encourage Speak Up culture
  • Follow up on matters involving compliance/ethics hotline concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Work with the businesses and plant HR teams to provide counsel to managers and leaders regarding employee relations issues, interpretation of employment laws and company policies and procedures. Apply judgment and creativity when drawing conclusions and developing solutions
  • Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of or develops business strategy. Decisions are guided by functional strategies and priorities. Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business, Human Resources or a related field
    • 7+ years of leadership experience in Human Resources
    • Experience in supporting multi-state manufacturing facilities.
    • Managing complex employee relations situations.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand business operational strategies and apply them to decision-making.
    • Strong business acumen and leadership skills.
    • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and must have strong project management skills.
    • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to function at a strategic level and to execute in a hands-on fashion as part of a growing organization.
    • Proven ability to translate company priorities into actionable HR items.
    • Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy, and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan in a positive manner.
    • Business acumen and analytical thought leader; ability to effectively utilize data to drive action.
    • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and delivering workable solutions.Travel as required based on business needs (up to 30%) Come make a World of Difference!
