Job Description:

Description Afni is hiring Collections Associates who will work in a first party environment. Incumbents will utilize inbound and outbound contacts in an attempt to contact consumers in order to negotiate payment arrangements on current (non-charged off) debt, and perform skip tracing techniques in order to locate consumers so that advanced collectors may collect on debt.

What you will be doing:

• Utilize a variety of techniques and tools to locate appropriate parties to negotiate payment arrangements.
  
  
• Overcome stalls and objections and suggest money sources for debt payments.
  
  
• Utilize payment options (credit cards, direct checks) and secure this information so that administrative services can process.
  
• Collect money in the form of immediate payments (check by phone, credit card) to avoid service interruption or to have service restored.
  
  
  Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED and two months of general industry knowledge
    
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
    
  • Ability to diffuse escalated situations
    
  • Proven PC navigation experience and basic math skills required
    
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with attention to detail
    
  • Demonstrated experience involved in negotiations, sales or collections preferred
    
    
  • Knowledge of 3rd party disclosure and FDCPA regulations and compliance is preferred
    
    
  • Basic understanding of financial reports preferred
